Hello!

For most of the screens/computers, use the normal game. Try it first, it's optimized.

For some specific screens you may need the AVM ( alternate video mode ) version.

If the game crashes when you enter the MAP or the SUBSCREEN that means it cannot write properly the data system.
In this case just change the directory of the game and reboot the computer.
