Robbo Creative Commons release README.TXT file
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I. Release information

This 2006 release has been recompiled by one of the authors (Maciej
Miasik www.miasik.net) from the original source files using the DOSBox
emulator (dosbox.sourceforge.net), and it is intended to be run using
such emulation. This release has not been tested on a genuine DOS
PC machine. Use at your own risk.

The game has been released with the permission of the copyright
holders.

The original game was developed by Xland and was released worldwide in
1994 by Epic Games. Epic Games played no role and bears no responsibility
for this Creative Commons release and does not provide any support for it
whatsoever.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

II. Running the game

Download and install DOSBox emulation software (dosbox.sourceforge.net).

Extract the game archive to any folder you like, e.g. C:\ROBBO.

Run DOSBox from the Start menu shortcut. At the command prompt enter the
following commands (assuming the game has been extracted to C:\ROBBO):

mount c c:\robbo
c:
robbo

The final command starts Robbo executable. You can now play the game.

Refer to DOSBox documentation for additional commands, e.g. playing the
game in full screen mode.

number of bolts to open the teleport leading to the next planet.

Press F10 to exit the game and return to the title screen.

Press the left Shift key and 1 to 4 keys to select the soundtrack to be

Cheat codes
-----------

Robbo is quite a difficult game by today's standards. If you feel
that you need some help with the game, feel free to use the following
cheat code (entered with the keyboard while at the title screen):

FRONT242

This cheat code changes system codes to LEVELA, LEVELB, LEVELC, up to
LEVELO. It also activates the Tab key, which allows you to immediately
jump to the next level.
